Owner of Phonetic Recordings; one of Ibiza & the world’s favourite House Music Labels and one half of Ibiza kings Max Linen, Rob Roar is one of the music industries influential players.
What first got you into electronic music?
Driving around London’s M25 as a kid frequenting some early acid house raves!

First House track, was prob T-Coy Carino

What was the first club you went to and how old were you?
Probably Hammersmith Palais as a 14 year old, with a group of 18 year old mates!
What is your favourite club and why?
We Love @ Space, Ibiza. I grew up on the terrace, my second home.
Who is your favourite DJ?
That’s a tough one, DJ’s that used to really rock it for me a few years back, were Morrillo, Jeremy Healy & John Kelly. These days Groove Armada always get a party rocking.
What is your favourite hat?
The pointed one my teacher used to make me wear at school, think it had a ‘D’ on it ; )

X Ray vision could be quite interesting…

One of each, I’d be shit hot at swimming in circles just off Talamanca Beach, Ibiza…result
